Legal & Compliance Statement – The Mello Marg Rental Co.

At The Mello Marg Rental Co., we proudly provide stylish margarita cart rentals featuring sealed, non-alcoholic margarita mixes sourced from licensed, commercial manufacturers. These mixes are shelf-stable, pre-packaged, and do not require a food service license under Ohio law.

In line with Ohio Revised Code §4303.185, we do not provide or sell alcoholic beverages. Our customers supply their own alcohol and optional fruit garnishes, giving them full control over the beverage experience while ensuring full legal compliance. As part of our rental service, our team may assist in preparing or serving customer-supplied garnishes (such as lime wedges, fruit slices, or salt for rimming glasses).

We take food safety seriously and handle all items using clean equipment and sanitary practices—but we do not store, cook, or commercially prepare any food items ourselves. Because we do not produce or sell food, and only assist with limited handling of customer-provided garnishes at private events, our operations fall outside the scope of food service licensing requirements.

 

Additionally, we carry liquor liability insurance for our bartenders, as well as general liability insurance for all events. We also maintain all necessary permits required to legally operate and serve at private functions in Ohio. For clients who opt for machine-only rentals, please note that staff is not included, but a team member can be added for an additional fee (see our Pricing tab for details).
